You will be picked up from your hotel at 9:30.
Our first stop is Myra, just an hour away from Kas. Myra was one of the only 6 Lycian cities that was large enough to cast three votes in the Lycian parliament. After a walk through the site, you will be able to see why. The ruins are impressive with the rock tombs and the intact theatre among the most memorable.
A short drive takes us to the Byzantine period St. Nicolas church. Born in Patara in the year 270 and serving as Bishop in Myra the renowned saint was buried in this church. Although being rebuilt and undergoing various renovations, the church still serves as something of a pilgrimage site for many Christians.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, then the tour continues to Adriake. Now marshland, Adriake was actually the port of Myra in Roman times. One of the commodities traded throughout the empire was grain, a large portion of it which was housed here in the Adriake Granary. This well preserved building is now home to the Lycia museum which you will also have the chance to explore.
The last stop of the day is Suluklu beach where you will have the chance to swim and relax. An hour transfer takes you back to Kas.
